6th class students from St. Anne's N.S. were invited on a trip to Brussels by Luke Ming Flanagan (M.E.P.).
The children visited the Dinosaur Gallery, the largest room in Europe entirely devoted to dinosaurs, their discovery, lives and evolution.
They visited the Grand Place, the central square of the City of Brussels. All over the world it is known for its decorative and aesthetic wealth. The Grand-Place is surrounded by the guild houses, the City Hall and the Maison du Roi.The Grand-Place is considered as one of the most beautiful places of the world. The Grand-Place of Brussels was registered on the World Heritage List of the UNESCO in 1998.
They took a tour of the Parlamentarium, which is the visitors' centre of the European Parliament and is located in the Parliament's Espace Léopold complex in Brussels.
They also visited the European Parliament where they met Luke Ming Flanagan and were given the V.I.P. treatment. They also enjoyed a very tasty lunch there too.
Of course, one couldn't leave Brussels without tasting their delicious waffles, purchasing some souvenirs, lunch in McDonalds and a trip to Primark!!
We had a fabulous time and made wonderful memories .
