School Re opening guidelines
Wednesday 26 August 2020
Dear Pupils, Parents and Guardians,
We are looking forward to welcoming you all back tomorrow. We have been working hard to ensure that our school opens up in as safe a manner as possible, the safety of our students and staff is paramount. There are a few points we would like to remind everyone of for the morning :
✅ Children from Junior Infants to 1st class will access the yard from the Church entrance.
✅Children from 2nd class to 6th class will access the school yard from Tully's Lane.
✅Families with children from Jun Inf to 1st & 2nd to 6th, use your own discretion as to which entrance suits you best.
❌ In the interest of the safety of our pupils, parents and staff we ask parents to please refrain from driving down Tully's lane at all times, as it is simply not safe to do so.
❌Parents will not be permitted into the school yard as we will be strictly adhering to dept guidelines. We ask you not to delay at the school entrances once your child has entered the school yard.
✅We ask you all to the be mindful when walking up to both entrances, please keep to the left hand side at all times and please try to stay socially distanced. We advise the wearing of face masks where maintaining the recommended social distance of 1-2m is difficult.
✅Both school entrances will be opened at 09:05 am and not before, therefore we ask Parents/Guardians to not arrive too early at either entrance.
✅Teachers will be at both entrances to direct your children into the relevant areas in the school yard where their class teacher will be awaiting them to take them via their new entrances to their various classrooms.
📷Photos are included to enable you to show your child their new entrance to the school building.
✅Our school office opening hours are from 09:10am to 1:30 pm, all appointments are now to be prearranged in advance through our secretary during these hours.
✅Should your child need to leave early, please contact the office during these hours or send in a note to the teacher so that arrangements can be made to have your child ready and they will be escorted to the school gate.
✅At home time we ask parents to remain outside the school yard, your child will meet you at their designated entrance. It is essential that children are collected on time and at their designated entrance /exit.
✅Junior infants will finish at the earlier time of 12:10pm until Friday the 18th of September .
✅From Monday 21st of September junior infants will finish at our normal time of 1:50pm.
✅Senior infants will finish at the usual time of 1:50pm.
✅Classes from 1st to 6th will start and finish at our usual times of 09:10 am to 2:50 pm.
We thank you for your patience and cooperation with these matters as we adjust to our new arrangements. We wish all our pupils the very best tomorrow, especially our Junior Infants. We look forward to seeing you all in the morning and again we thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation in the coming weeks.
